I recently wrote about the Vancouver Mural Festival, and it reminded me of all the beautiful Toronto street art I’d seen this summer. I was only in Toronto for a couple of days, and would have loved more time to explore the downtown streets. I managed to snag a handful of snaps though, among the dozens of murals and tags across the city.
There are tags everywhere, and some of them cover other artists’ work (as in the case of this chicken/signature). For the most part though, the Toronto street art is well-preserved and -respected, with gorgeous, huge murals left untouched. For the short time I was in the city — much of that time spent in a car — here are some of the murals I came across.
What does the street art in your city look like? Where’s your favourite piece, and why is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!
